SIMPLY DELICIOUS DINING AT MONTBLEU GIVES GUESTS PLENTY OF OPTIONS
(South Lake Tahoe, Nev.) – 60% of travelers choose their destination based on dining options, according to the International Culinary Tourism Association. MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa understands the importance of food in an overall travel experience, and to meet the demands of guests has taken steps to provide an array of dining options that raise the bar of dining expectations in the Tahoe area.
From casual to elegant, traditional fare to haute cuisine, there’s something for any taste at the property’s distinct four restaurants: Ciera Steak + Chophouse — one of the area’s two AAA Four Diamond Award winning restaurants, del Soul Mexican Grill, 20Four Continuous Cuisine, the buffet and The Zone.
Ciera Steak + Chophouse
Ciera Steak + Chophouse provides a stylish and sophisticated dining atmosphere, graced by the culinary creations of Executive Chef Bradley Nuss, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and an American Culinary Federation certified chef. A knowledgeable staff, semi-private booths, and a private banquet room are all on hand for guests. Open for Sunday—Thursday 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday—Saturday 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The Captain’s List, an extensive viticultural list of over 300 wines and champagnes from around the world, offers the perfect varietal, vintage, and pairing to Ciera’s haute cuisine.
Gourmet entrees like the hazelnut-crusted sea bass with Frangelico beurre blanc can be enjoyed in the restaurant or in the privacy of the property’s 440 hotel rooms.
Quarterly wine pairing dinners are hosted in Ciera, where a different theme brings together food and wine in a fun, educational environment. Guests can explore wine regions from around the world via fork, knife and glass, while industry experts offer insight to why different varietals pair so well with certain dishes. Recently, “A Taste of Italy” dinner delivered regional Italian delicacies paired with lesser known varietals not always available around Lake Tahoe.
del Soul
MontBleu’s Mexican Grill, del Soul, brings “south of the border” to South Lake Tahoe, with an eclectic menu of "Nuevo Mexicano" dishes. Seasonally, del Soul hosts live salsa music and dancing on the weekends. The “Sunsplashrita”, a 32 oz. top shelf margarita is one of many specialty cocktails created from a list brimming with more than 30 repasados, anejos, and other premium tequilas. The lounge is open daily at 4 p.m., with drinks and appetizers.
20Four Continuous Cuisine
20Four Continuous Cuisine, MontBleu’s 1950s inspired diner, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner; with a warm, nostalgic feel and a ‘round-the-clock menu with comfort food and convenience for guests with any craving, at any hour.
The buffet
“The buffet” offers a new take on the traditional casino favorite as chefs prepare fresh creations at various stations across the line. “Action” chef stations, carving tables and international showcased cuisine allow guests to sample and dine to their heart’s content. The buffet is hosts a champagne brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. And is open for dinner daily; Sunday—Thursday 5 p.m. to 9 p.m and Friday—Saturday 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The Zone
On a roll in the Sports Book? Look no further than The Zone with a deli serving Panini-style sandwiches, and popular “ball park” cuisine like nachos, hot dogs and pizza. Located in MontBleu’s action-packed Game & Sports Book, The Zone also boasts a full bar open 24/7 to compliment stadium favorites. The Zone’s deli is open Sunday—Thursday 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday—Saturday 12 p.m. to 1 a.m. for guests to eat, drink and game on!
