TROPICANA TAPS FORMER RENO HILTON PRESIDENT AS NEW GM AT TAHOE'S MONTBLEU RESORT CASINO AND SPA


Las Vegas, NV, November 2, 2009 - Tropicana Entertainment, LLC has named Tim Maland
General Manager of its MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa, according to an announcement by Tropicana Entertainment CEO Scott C. Butera. Maland will be responsible for managing all operations at the Lake Tahoe property which features a 437 room hotel, a 40,000 square foot casino, the Onsen Spa, and the 4 Diamond Award Ciera Steak & Chophouse.

Maland brings strong operating and financial experience to his new position. He also possesses a
deep understanding of the Reno-Tahoe hospitality and gaming market having served as the President of the Reno Hilton from 2001 to 2006. Prior to his time with Hilton, Maland was General Manager of the Santa Fe Casino and Hotel and CFO of Caesar's Palace, both in Las Vegas. Earlier in his career, he was Executive Vice President of Trump Plaza in Atlantic City.

Maland served the state of Nevada in 2007 and 2008 as Director of the Nevada State Tourism
Commission, a state agency that had a promotion budget of $23 million.

Maland was a CPA who earned his Bachelor's Degree in quantitative systems in 1975 at the
Arizona State University School of Business.
